My name is Rhonda Peterson and I have loved creating for as long as I can remember. Making things, drawing, painting, pulling the pieces together… these are the practices which take me out of my head and allow me to stay somewhat “grounded” in this life.

I moved around a bit as a kid, but lived in Texas twice, and Louisville, KY once - where I went to college and studied art, design, communications, and art therapy. I finally settled in Pennsylvania over two decades ago. My husband and I have raised our family in Western PA, and I have grown to love the land and sky here more than any other place I’ve been.

When my 5 children were little, I followed them around on hikes with my camera, taking photos of the places we visited along the way. All of these images began to fill my head and heart to a point where I knew I needed to do something more with them so I began to use them as resources for painting - first in watercolor and pastel, and then in oil.
